LINK UP STAR is hopefully going to be my only weekly required post. Im going to do a quick run down of all the internet magic that happened this week.

The more i use facebook the more i see all this stupid viral stuff being passed around. The internet is turning into that “i heard it from a friend” scenario when people think information they get from their FB feed has any merit..  Most notably this week was the white girl who was hit with the shovel. I saw 4 different posts about how the girl died.

VOTE FOR SOVIET BEAR.  Some kid is running for student council as the soviet bear..  I like seeing the new generation of internet kids. The love that they have for the intwerwbes and their online communities is spilling over into the physical world. That could have horrible implications for the future of our society but presently its very entertaining for me.

The NSA is recruiting….  through twitter.  Hashtag #MissionMonday is an attempt to recruit people through social media.. I am making a prediction right now that someone will decode the cypher and then send them a message that will go viral..  i hope it is clever and devastating.

VICE on HBO has been renewed for 2 more Seasons. If you have no idea who Vice is then you probably don’t even read these updates. Today i read a really interesting article about a guy who decided to not smoke weed.  They are the kind of journalists everyone should aspire to be.
